Comparison & Review: Nars, Dior and Mac foundations

So today I wanted to make a review about these three foundations and compare them. Give you my opinion of them and talk about which one worked best for me. I will be talking about the coverage they give and whether or not i think they are worth it for the prices they are retailed for.

Mac Matchmaster

So this foundation is a medium buildable coverage, it is ment to be a moisturizing demi-matte finish, with an SPF 15. Honestly this foundation glides on beautifully on the skin especially if your skin is edging onto the dry side. it gives my skin a glowy look and the coverage is buildable if you keep applying more on the areas you would most likely to cover. The demi-matte finish gives a beautiful natural finish and the foundation lasts you all day, it retails at twenty seven pounds and its a great investment as it lasts a long time. I've had mine for less than a year and its still going strong. For me compared to the other two the colour is more yellow based which matches me perfect in the summer but doesn't match my winter skin when am more paler. All in all i would give it a thumbs up as i don't find it drying to my skin in the slightest and the look it gives me is flawless.

Diorskin Forever Fluid Foundation

Dior claim that this foundation should compliment all skin types, its hydrating and that it has a satin finish , however i didn't find it moisturizing and personally i didn't feel like it glided onto my skin like my nars and mac do. However I do find that it lasts all day on my skin and it does cover all my imperfections. It has a Factor 25 SPF and the bottle does last as you don't need that much for it to cover when you apply it to your skin. This foundation is retailed at thirty two pounds and it was brought from house of fraser. For the price it gives, i don't see anything that luxurious about it but the bottle it comes in and the name.

Nar's Sheer Glow

Hand on my heart this is my favourite foundation, it matches my skin beautifully and the coverage is medium but also buildable. The foundation is for people who have normal, dry and normal to dry skin types which is perfect for me. It gives a beautiful natural finish and it allows my skin to breath. It covers my imperfections really well and gives me a glow, My skin looks brighter and more radiant. Although this foundation doesn't have an SPF it is definatly worth the price at thirty pounds, fifty. Apparently it contains powerful anti-oxidants to protect against damaging free radicals and turmeric extract to improve skins radiance and tone. It is also fragrance free which for some people is a plus.

I hope I have helped you out with picking your next foundation, let me know your opinions on these foundation if you have tried any of them.

thanks for reading

Boxing day sales and a few things I picked up!

OK soooo I went a bit crazy with the sales that are going on at the moment, I've brought a couple of items that i want to share with you! I brought both fashion and beauty items, let me know what you think.

 So lets get started..

I went into newlook and brought this jumper, it might not be to everyones taste but I liked that it was funky and out there and with it being only eight pounds, I couldn't turn it away, I think this jumper is like marmite you either love it or you hate it. I purchased it in a large, so it can be extra snugly and oversized lol.

Am not a size large, just wanted it to be baggy and oversized

Beautiful textiles

I would wear this type of jumper to uni on a lazy, can't be bothered kind of day, with a pair of jeans and my white converses.

I also brought this jacket from newlook in the sale, it came down from 34.99 to 19 pounds, its a dark red textured leather-look sleeve waterfall jacket. I would proberly wear it with my black jersey dress and my zara pointed toe heels for an evening look. It can also be dressed down by wearing some high waisted jeans, a white crop top and some converses.

Speaking of my pointed toed heels from zara, I also got them in the sale, it was the last pair and it was my size! I was so happy because I was eyeing them up online but it said it was sold out. They were £19.99 reduced from 29.99.

I also brought a top from H&M, its a jersey top with a sweet heart neckline, the top bit is sheer with polka dots. It is one of those tops that has a sexy feel to it.

On to the beauty section, I needed a new mascara, and I wanted to try something new so I brought the max factor false lash effect fusion volume and length and oh my god this mascara is the one! It gave my eyelashes excatly what they stated on the tube! it made my eyelashes look so long, but not spidery, hands down this is my favourite mascara so far! I also brought a new lipstick from max factor in the colour 825 pink brandy, its a beautiful light pink colour, which is moisturising too as well as being really opaque when put on the lips. Not only that in boots when I purchased the mascara and lipstick they gave a free gift set and claimed it was 30 pounds worth of products, this included a false lash effect waterproof mascara, a nail varnish in the colour cobalt blue and a lip finity in the colour 340 essential natural. They are all limited edition products and i have already fallen in love with the lip finity and the nail varnish! Its absolutely beautiful and am not to sure if the deal is still on but head down to boots, and find out, its so worth it!

false lash effect fusion mascara, pink brandy lipstick and free gift

all free when u spend £15 or more, get to boots!

lip finity 340, stayed on for a whole day! such a good product and am considering buying another one in the colour red!

left eye no mascara, right eye with max factor false lash effect mascara, it's so good, try it!

Final look with my new mascara, on my lips is vegas volt by mac

On to the higher end cosmetics that I purchased this month, and funny enough they are all from mac, I brought two more lipsticks and they are vegas volt and velvet teddy. Vegas Volt is one of the amplified mac lipsticks and its a beautiful coral colour, that will be beautiful to wear in the summer because of how bright it is, its really moisturising on the lips and i love the finish it gives. Velvet teddy on the other hand has a matte finish and its the perfect warm nude, not one of those nudes that look like concealer lips, it has a bit of colour to it, and I personally think that it will suit women of colour or people who have a natural tan.

velvet teddy- perfect nude for me

Lastly I brought myself a new perfume called Versace Bright crystal. its a very sweet young smell, the packaging is beautiful, I love it, the only downfall is that the smell doesn't last that long and you have to keep re-applying.
